UAE & Bahrain Launch Biometric One-Point Travel System

Regional travel in the Middle East is set to become more streamlined as the UAE and Bahrain launch the One-Point Air Travellers project. The new system is currently in its pilot stage at Zayed International Airport and Bahrain International Airport and enables travelers to finalize entry formalities prior to departure.

The One-Point Air Travellers project combines biometric verification, e-gates, and digital border control technology to minimize waiting times and eliminate the need for multiple immigration checks upon arrival. This not only increases security but also improves airport efficiency and the travel experience.

The One-Point Travel system is expected to increase tourism, business travel, and economic development in the region while establishing a new benchmark for airport innovation. When fully implemented, travelers between Bahrain and the UAE can look forward to faster, safer, and more convenient travel.
